Cordellia "Aunty Pua" Woon Tin Kapele's Obituary
Cordellia "Aunty Pua" Woon Tin Kapele, 76, of Kaneohe, passed away May 1, 2017. She was born in Honolulu on January 21, 1941 to parents Henry Young Amoy and Marilyn Mew Chan Lee Amoy, and was a customer service representative for Founders Title and Escrow Company, and Kumu hula of Pua Kapele Halau O Hula.
She is survived by husband, John Kamana Kapele, Sr.; children, John Kamana Kapele, Jr., Mahina Hou, Naeole Kapele, Kai'ana Kapele and Auliilani Rosa; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Edmund Amoy, Calvin Amoy, Henry Amoy, Jr.; sisters, Jeanette Fernandez, Gwendolyn Kaanapu, Carolyn Overholtzer, Blossom Jensen, Audrey Amoy, Shirley Ogino and Amy Naula.
Services for Aunty Pua will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Kaneohe Stake Center-Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (46-117 Halaulani Street, Kaneohe, HI 96744). Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Lei are welcome.
