Daniel C. Martinez
90 years old of Ewa Beach, Hawaii has passed away on February 15, 2021. He was born on November 20, 1930 in Honoka’a, Hilo from father Julio Martinez and mother Juana Carvalho along with sister Mary Veles and three other siblings (deceased). Daniel grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and was married to wife Rosemarie Martinez for 60 years. Together they have 4 children, Laura Martinez (deceased) and survived by Daniel(Barbara) Martinez, Shirley(Steve) Soares, and Corina(Craig) Vegas. Along with seven grandchildren Deanne, Steve Jr., Christopher, Danny, Anthony, Sierra, Torielynn and fourteen great grandchildren.
Daniel was a Army Veteran who enlisted at the young age of 17 and proudly fought in the Korean War. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing horseshoe, playing pool, watching boxing, football, and UFC. He would pass time by reading and enjoying nature. He enjoyed the little things in life like the sound of raindrops dripping on a tin roof and listening to music from around the world.
A drive by memorial for Daniel will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 11:00am to 11:45am at The Valley of the Temple. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 we kindly request for the safety of ourselves and others that all drive by guests do not exit their vehicles.
