Daniel Cabrejas Paglinawan's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Daniel Cabrejas Paglinawan
Daniel Cabrejas Paglinawan, a cherished figure in Honolulu’s baking community, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born in Escalante, Negros Occidental, Daniel as the owner and master baker of Kamehameha Bakery was a master of his craft. He is well known for his pastry and especially known for his famous poi donuts. For Daniel, baking was more than a profession; it was a way to bring people together.
Beyond the kitchen, Daniel was a man of deep faith and family. He would often be found hanging out with his children, grand-children, and great grand-children. His infectious calm demeanor, crazy sense of humor and generous spirit made him a pillar of his community.
