David Weems Petherbridge, 95, of Honolulu, passed away on January 25, 2015. He was born in Haddonfield, New Jersey. He was a Minister for several Churches in Hawaii. He is survived by wife, Betty Koon Petherbridge; sons, Sydney G Read Obituary
I grieve the passing of Mr. Petherbridge but hold very tightly to my memories of both Mr. and Mrs. (Betty) Petherbridege.
My prayers and thoughts are with the Petherbridge family. I will always remember Mr. Petherbridge and will remember and celebrate his dedication and his life of service to HBA, the students, the community, and to his church.

It's been over 60 years since the Petherbridges touched my life as a young boy in the Heulu St neighborhood of Makiki. Though time and distance separate us, thank you David for being a "bright spot" in my life that ultimately led to my graduation from HBA, Hardin-Simmons Univ, and a successful professional career. I will always remember the VBS days and the loving care of you and Betty.
You leave a wonderful legacy to the young people of Honolulu. Thank you for touching my life.
