David Gilbert Vega Jr.'s Obituary
David Gilbert Vega Jr., passed away in Kailua, Hawaii on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the age of 56. He was born in Kailua, Hawaii and is survived by wife Cybele Vega, daughters Gabrielle Vega and Natasha Vega, parents David Vega Sr. and Claire Vega, and siblings Lance Larsen, Cynthia Larsen-Diaz, Roxanne Decoite, and David "Mark"Larsen.
David’s impact resonated deeply in the lives and hearts of all those fortunate enough to call him a friend or family. His larger-than-life presence and generous nature were constants that will be sorely missed. It's difficult to articulate the profound sense of loss felt by everyone in his circle due to his unexpected absence. David was a steadfast pillar of support, always ready to lend a helping hand to all, provide a ride, or share one of his famously delicious home-cooked meals—truly the best. His legacy as a role model, hard worker, dedicated husband, father, and friend remains indelible. The world feels emptier without him, a sentiment shared by all who knew and cherished him. Gone too soon, David leaves behind a void that can never be filled. May the memories of David's warmth, kindness, and love provide solace to his family and friends during this difficult time.
Goodbye is Not Forever
“When you lived your life for others and you loved without condition, When you made so many laugh and your smile won't be forgotten, When you left behind an empty place that no one else can fill, When the friendships that you shared long to be renewed, When you built your life on hope and fulfilled it every day, The footprints that you left behind will bring us face to face. So goodbye is not forever, you're only steps away.” - Anonymous
