Davileen Kanani Kaneaiakala's Obituary
Davileen Kanani Kaneaiakala, 62, returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 26, 2019. Kanani was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Hannah Kalino Kaneaiakala and was a sister to brothers Ray Noland and Lovell Norman Kaneaiakala. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1975 and worked as a clerk in the car rental business. Although Davileen never had any biological children of her own, her love and concern for/of her nieces and nephews can only be compared to that of a mother... "biological" is not necessary in Kanani's case. She filled and supplemented that role with all of those individuals she loved as 'her own'. Kanani had that way with many of her relationships. Several dear and life long Sister/Friends lovingly joked about their 'membership' in relationship categories of: "Bestest Friend"... Dolly Kau Bahn, Sheila Masuda, Lokai Kekauoha & Lynne Ho'oili; "Goodest Friend"...Aqua Waialoha Pahio; and "Faithful Hospital Companion"... Shannon Kaneaiakala, who would assure that Davileen was never alone over night at the hospital. Davileen is survived by: Brothers- Ray Noland (Ronell) & Lovell Norman Kaneaiakala; Nephews- Hoku, Jason (Malia), Bronson & Kaimana Kaneaiakala; Nieces- Noel (Hugo) Gutierrez, & Kalei, Kawai, & Kapua Kaneaiakala; and "CHOKE" cousins and friends!
