Dawn Melanie Hisaka's Obituary
72, Dawn Melanie Hisaka, of Kaneohe, passed away on Saturday, September 01, 2018. Dawn was born on the beautiful island of Oahu on October 05, 1945 to her wonderful parents Joe Iwao and Sueko Hisaka. Dawn graduated from McKinley High School and she continued her education at The University of Hawaii earning a degree in Education. After her college education, Dawn became an English teacher at Aliamanu Intermediate School and later became a Math Teacher there. She very much loved teaching, it was her passion. Dawn remained a part of the school system, when she was done teaching she then became the school's registrar. She resided on the windward side of the island in beautiful Kaneohe, which is also surrounded by the lovely Ko'olau mountain range. Although Dawn was never married, she had many beloved dogs over the years. She was involved with the AKC organization and also affiliated in the dog shows as well. She was a very loving and caring woman, who absolutely loved dogs and all animals in general. Dawn is survived by her beloved pets Blue and Nali, Aunts, Cousins and Friends. Services for Dawn will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am; Services will start at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:00 am. Luncheon to follow 11:30-1:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. No monetary offerings.
