Dawon K. R. Nuuhiwa's Obituary
Dawon Kenez Ryan Nuuhiwa, (64), of Waimanalo, passed away on March 27, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Dawon was born on October 14, 1959, to Lorretta Anderson & Jonah Nuuhiwa Sr. He was a talented musician, fisherman, surfer, waterman who loved his family. He worked for the City & County’s Road division. One of his proudest accomplishments is being involved with development of the Kaiona Boat ramp project. He leaves behind his beloved wife Debra “Abbie” Leina’ala Nuuhiwa, daughter Maile Nuuhiwa-Santos (Nicholas K. Santos), sons Nainoa Nuuhiwa (Bethany Fox), Ipa’apuka Carter, grandsons Nalu, Te’a, Hala’i, granddaughters Mahealani, Kawehi, Keahi, Kealohi, great grandson Loea, brothers Darin & Jonah Nuuhiwa, many cousins, friends, & close loved ones. Celebration of life will be held on Thursday May 16, 2024, at the Waimanalo Hawaiian Homes Association, QLCC from 9:30am-2pm. 41-253 Ilauhole St, Waimanalo, HI 96795.
