Debra Sheila Pi'ilani Guernsey's Obituary
We are here today to celebrate the life of Debra Sheila Piʻilani Guernsey. She was the daughter of William and May Duncan, the younger sister of James and Sylvia, a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother, loving aunt, cherished cousin, and a friend to so many. She is survived by her husband Andrew, daughter Sara and son-in-law Francisco, her grandchildren Snow, Hunter, Enoch, and Ida, her sister Sylvia, sister-in-law Rosa, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Hula, lei making, and creative crafts brought her great joy. She loved sketching, working with pastels, and creating freehand cutouts — each piece unique, made with patience and heart.
She loved a good laugh, cherished being surrounded by family and friends, and carried a quiet elegance and warmth that drew people close. She taught us that kindness, generosity, and love don’t need to be loud to leave a lasting impact — they shine brightest when shared sincerely.
While we are heartbroken to say goodbye, we take comfort in the memories, love, and lessons she shared. Her spirit will live on in our hearts, in every act of kindness, in every hula we dance, and in every smile we share in
her honor.
