Dian Beckley Freitas' Obituary
Dian Alicia Beckley Freitas
November 10th 1943-June 4th 2015
Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother passed away suddenly at the age of 71. Dian was a Kailua High School graduate class of ’61. She was married 49 years to her husband, “Gene” and they both resided on the Windward side with their O’hana. She was the daughter of the first MPCC Pro Golfer Alexander & mother Alice Beckley.
As an active member of the Lanikai & Kailua community, many may have known her through her involvement in the crafter’s scene in events such as the I Love Kailua & the Lanikai Craft Fairs.
She was passionate about her personal ties with former classmates and friends participating in high school reunion celebrations. With her bright smile she could light up a room resonating warmth & kindness. She was a woman who always put people first, sharing her delicious recipes and constantly reaching out to acquaintances in need with a helping hand & love. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends.
Survived by her husband, Eugene; daughters, Dana (Jason) Blair & Tyra (Mathew) Sargent; grandchildren, Allison & Max. You’ll be forever in our hearts Dian, Mom, Nana.
Visitation to her celebration of life service will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Kailua; Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m
