Dionicia "Dioning" Leoning's Obituary
We are devastated and mourn the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved Mother, Dionicia V. Leoning. "Nana" Dionicia, affectionately known by family and friends, will be terribly missed by her three children, three grandchildren and one great grand child. We know that she had just attended the evening Mass, in honor of Palm Sunday, and was on her way home. Nana was walking to the bus stop when she was struck by a cyclist. She was a devout Catholic who regularly worshiped and attended Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace on Saturday evenings. She retired from "The Convalescent Center of Honolulu" after 30 years of employment. In her later years, Mom enjoyed taking care of and growing her plants and vegetables. Mom enjoyed her morning walks and watching her TV game shows and Filipino Soap Operas. When asked to cook our favorite filipino dishes, she never hesitated and was proud to do this for her family. She deeply touched the hearts of many people with her love and kindness. She graciously extended any help to others and gave abundantly to her family in the Philippines. Whatever she could do for her family, she did with all her heart. Needless to say, she has left a lasting impression on hearts and her hopes now live within us. "Nana" Dionicia leaves behind her family who will miss her dearly until the day we can be with her again:Children:Vicky ArcaynaEris Guillen (Jesus Guillen)Emilio V.
