Dionisio Jose Domingo's Obituary
Dionisio Jose Domingo peacefully joined his father, mother, sisters and relatives
who left Earth before him on July 28, 2017. He was a loving, caring, and patient
husband, father, brother and grandfather. He always had a sense of humor and a
smile that was appreciated by all who knew him.
Dionisio was born on August 12, 1930, in Casili, Laoag City, Philippines to Christina (Jose) and Fernando P. Domingo.
In1968, Dionisio became a licensed Geodetic Engineer by passing the Board in the
Republic of the Philippines. In 1969, he arrived in Hawaii with his brother Felix.
He retired as Land Surveyor from Community Planning and Engineering, Inc. over
25 years ago. He enjoyed reading the daily paper, The Bible, Times magazine, as
well as watching basketball on TV. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to Vegas
and seeing his family on the mainland when he could.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carlina Domingo; daughter, Edna (David)
Kaahaaina; sons, Menandro (Fenella) Domingo of Los Angeles, and Jayson Domingo;
seven grandchildren, Emma, Victoria, Luke, Andrew, Brendan, Christopher,
and Logan; sister, Rosita (Eliseo) Villanueva; and brother, Felix (Anacleta) Domingo;
nieces and nephews.
Wake and celebration of life services for Dionisio will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., family service to begin at 6:30 p.m. and wake service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (229 Queen Emma Square) with visitation from: 9:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.,Mass to begin at 11:30 a.m., with
burial to follow 1:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temple, Lunch to follow.
