9 years ago, when my first visa application was denied, I thought I would never experience Hawaii and the chance to be with Mommy Dolly and Daddy Semy where they have built and honed their legacy. Being determined in nature along with the encouragement of Mom and Dad, I had the chance to be with them.
DREAMS, a Foundation they established, is a crucial part of my life as it did not exclusively supported my college education and board exam journey but also opened to philanthropic opportunities. I have been allowed to participate in foundation-related activities which have been essential in determining and maintaining scholars. Mom and Dad shared with me the joys of giving and they remarkably contributed to my mission of paying forward. I can't be thankful enough for them because I felt, as if I am their own daughter.
Mom, I may not be saying it as often as I can I love you both. You and Dad keep me humble, your lessons stimulated ideas in my head, and you inspired me to maximize my potential. I love you very much.
Thank you Mom for having the chance to experience life with you. I am glad you are with Dad now. Rest in peace. ❤️
