Celebrating a life well lived...
Domingo Jabillo Guieb, 89, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away unexpectedly at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu on July 10, 2020.
He was born on December 20, 1930 in Bayugao, Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Roberto and Narcissa (Jabillo) Guieb.
An immigrant from the Philippines, he moved to Hawaii and got his first job at Fort Shafter in 1968. Two years later, he married his wife, Carmen on October 24, 1970 and found a new job at Kamehameha Schools, where he was employed for 38 years. He retired from there in 1995.
Domingo's pastime consisted of traveling to Las Vegas and watching sports on TV. Tennis and basketball were his favorites. A recent and lasting memory was of him sitting with family during a weekend Bingo night. His smile and joy in his eyes when he would yell "BINGO, BINGO, BINGO" will always be remembered.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Carmen; son, Danilo; daughter, Catherine; four grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
Celebration of life and funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church on Saturday, August 1, 2020, with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
