Donald Phillip Jowers' Obituary
Mr. Donald Phillip Jowers, 68, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Atrium Health Charlotte. He was born September 4, 1953 in Monroe NC, a son of the late Robert and Katie Jowers.
Mr. Jowers served our country as a solider in the US Army and had attained the rank of Sargent E5 upon his honorable discharge. He was a busy man who loved to help people and had interest in many areas. Mr. Jowers served as a member of White Springs Baptist Church. He was a Mason and became Master Mason, and was a member of the Camp Creek Lodge 317. Mr. Jowers served as a volunteer fireman and a first responder and was a Boy Scout Master of Troop 70. He was the owner and operator of Right Turn driving training school. Mr. Jowers enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was involved in the Lancaster Co. Bee Keeping Association, was master gardener, and a lifelong woodworker. Mr. Jowers loved his grandson Cova, and his fur babies.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne H. Jowers; a son Robert Jowers (Myka) of Lancaster; his daughter, Sarah Jowers of Lancaster; and a grandson, Cova Robert Jowers. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Thom and Douglas Jowers; and two sisters, Carolyn Murphy and Linda Jowers.
