Best friends. We were there for each other when we needed it most. Aloha oi, Verne
So many memories of our visits with Aunt Donna:
- Her many stories of the early days in San Bernardino & Riverside of cousins chasing cousins Ranae, Steve, & Lynn, raising chickens, catching snakes & lizards - we so miss Mike, who was always right there helping us catch toads at Wildwood Park, swimming at the Sportsman's Club?
- Aunt Donna knew I (Paul) liked looking for the geckos in her yard so she mailed me some eggs she found to California, and would you believe they hatched out on my dresser months later!!
- We were always proud when we could get Donna to go out to dinner with us. We really had to twist her arm. It was usually Italian or to go from the Chinese. She would ride with me (Paul) to pick up Malasadas. We weren't quite as crazy about Bill's boiled peanuts:)
- No matter how many times we told her she didn't have to cook, she always did when we visited. We will truly miss her Taco Salad.
- Our son Adam liked to stay up late with Donna watching American Ninja Warriors. We are so glad all of our kids, and grandkids too, got to know her.
- Debbie & I got our passion for feeding birds in our backyard from Bill & Donna telling us about all the birds they fed every morning - cardinals & was it bolbos?
- It's hard not to think of Bill when we think of Aunt Donna. Having that girl in the aquarium at the restaurant holding up the sign for us on our 25th anniversary is a special memory. Thank you Bill for painting the white scratch on our rental car and they never even noticed it.
- Debbie & I always appreciated how much Steve & Ranae took care of your Mom when we visited. She was so lucky to have you there in Hawaii with her. I know that Donna enjoyed her phone calls with Ted & Lynn, because she would tell me.
- We miss you so much Aunt Donna. Please tell Bill & Mike we miss them just as much too. This will be the first summer we come to Hawaii and won't be able to visit with you, but we will never, ever forget you!!!!!
LOVE, PAUL & DEBBIE & FAMILY
She was the best grandma, and friend. Every school holliday Grammy and grandpa would have a full schedule of activities planned to keep us grandkids entertained. And because of that, I really had a great childhood. In my adult years she was my friend and confidant. I would bring my dog Bandit over and she would throw the ball for him while we tried to solve the world problems. I miss her so much!
Aunt Donna was a wonderful aunt to me, and I will always remember how kind she was. She always sent me a birthday card, even as a grown up, and that inspired me to be a better uncle to my nieces and nephews. My deepest condolences to all the Bauman family. She will be greatly missed.
