Doris Mieko Kubota Philpot of Kaneohe passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. Born and raised in Honolulu, She lived her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, friend and daughter. She thoroughly enjoyed Las Vegas, going to her weekly Paiute card game at her sister Gladys' house, going to the movies with her sister Linda, watching TV, playing computer games and mostly talking on the phone to Sandy , Jez , Kimiko and anyone who needed her time.She lived her life by her adage; Remember family and friends of which you are a precious part. Love deeply and love truly, give freely from your heart.She is survived by daughters, Rayenette "Raye" (Gerald) Tom, Sandra "Sandy" (Al) Soria, Jezarene Taaca; sons, Eric (Kimiko) Philpot, Jay (Alden N.) Philpot; grandchildren, Eric & Jayleina Tom, Nicholas, Michael & Matthew Taaca, Jayven Alconcel, Shane, Madison, Kyle, Erisa, Christopher & Naomi Philpot, Alec Carty, Jamie Morton; great-grandchild, Draedyn; sisters, Gladys "Sis" (Yoshito) Iwaishi, Linda (Richard) Teruya; brothers, Francis "Taka" (Jane) Kubota, Lloyd Kubota, best friends, Yvonne (Terry) Gossage, Elsie Kimura, Tomie (Delbert) Hodge, Jamie Morgan, Pam (Ernest) Mercado; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who each had a special place in her heart.
