Auntie Dottie,
This is my second letter, I think the first one already went to you in Heaven because it's not here. So let me try again.
You were like a second mom to me Auntie Dottie. I will never forget my years growing up in Hawaii with you and my cousins in your Enchanted Lakes home. You taught me to dive off of that diving board, which I really didn't have a choice, because you were sending me in one way or another. You taught me your faith, which is with me and a part of my life every day. And you taught me strength. (I think Dean calls it hard head, but we'll call it strength)
I was lucky enough to still have you in my life in California. We shared a lot of special conversations together and I loved the fact that you were proud that my strength was inherited from you. I am proud of that too. You not only gave that to me and your four amazing kids, but you shared your strength with my mom. You took care of her, and I am forever grateful. You took her places, Vegas, Cody's away baseball games, visiting your cousins. I have to admit, when you two ladies took off on an adventure, sometimes we were scared, you were like Thelma and Louise and we just prayed you two would find your way home.
Auntie Dottie, you have found your way home, to Uncle David and your Lord.
Love you always,
Kim
P.S. Mom told me to tell you that you were the best sister ever. She thanks you for all the times you spent together and will miss that dearly. She loves you with all her heart!
Your Sister, Carole
