Dorothy Dawn Powell's Obituary
Dorothy Dawn Powell, 86, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away July 1, 2016. Born in Berwick, Pennsylvania on October 18, 1929 to parents Arthur Eugene Santee and Nelle Jane Kitchen Santee, Dorothy was a retired secretary who worked at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, the National Marine Fisheries and the National Weather Service. She was also a transcriptionist for the American Disability Association.
She is survived by daughter, Jane Campbell of Kurtistown, Hawaii; grandchildren, Chris Romeo, Chandra Powell, Rebecca Romeo and Joshua Evans; great-grandchildren, Tiana, Cayden, Isaiah and Baby Romeo, Darchell and Ocean Powell-Soares; niece, Jackie Williams; son-in-law, Gary Soares.
A Memorial Service and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel (47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744), followed by inurnment at Valley of the Temples at 1:30 p.m.
Flowers are welcome. Hawaiian attire is suggested.
