Douglas Alan DeLong's Obituary
Doug passed away on May 28th, 2015, after a heart attack ruptured his heart septum.
He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen DeLong and his beloved buddy, Bingo.
He is survived by his loving wife Vannessa, his Father Fredric and Mom Bea-B.C. DeLong, and his extended family of cousins and in-laws, of which there are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and cats.
Doug was a Freemason and served Redwood City Lodge #168F & A M in Redwood City, CA, as its Master in 1988. He loved the Big Island, interacting and sharing with many people, calling it home for 16 years. He loved Model Railroading, music and animation movies.
We want to thank the entire caring staff of Kaiser, both at out Kona Clinic and on Oahu at Moanalua; many Mahalos!
Informal services will be held in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island on 6/20/15.
In lieu of flowers any donations in his name to the Hawaii Island Humane Society would be appreciated.
