Douglas A. Williams' Obituary
Douglas A. Williams passed away on April 18, 2016 at the age of 73 at his home after a hard fought battle with cancer. Doug will be remembered by his wife of 45 years, Janet, son Kevin and many loving family members and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. He grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, but fell in love with Hawaii over 45 years ago and settled in Kailua. He attended Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree and MBA in business. Doug was an entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Douglas Trade Shows, Hawaii’s largest trade show production company. He had a passion for science, technology, nature, and charitable empathy for people and the human condition. Doug’s much-admired kindness, brilliance, generosity, humor and exceptional work-ethic will forever live on. A Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you send charitable donations to Leilani Farm Sanctuary (http://www.leilanifarmsanctuary.org) in honor of Doug.
