I just found about Duane a few minutes ago. I have known him since 1980. I am glad I invited him to a BBQ at my place a few years ago. Rest in peace my friend.
Aloha Cabe family!
I just found out today Duane passed away. I’m so sad. I knew Duane when we were kids together in Temple Valley. Back in 76 and 77 I lived on the Hokuloa side of temple valley.
We were in our early teens back then.
I have many fond and funny memories of Duane, or as we (some of his friends) called him “Big Duane” or “Sir Duane”.
In 1978 my family and I moved to Aiea and Duane and I lost touch as life took us on our separate journeys.
I worked in security most of my life and retired from HECO in 2016 whereupon my Wife and I moved to Paris, France where we reside today.
I would really love to hear from Duane’s family to learn a little bit more about my old friend. I have some funny stories that you will love, stories that I doubt you’ve heard before that will bring a smile.

Please accept my respects and warmest condolences,
