Dulinda "Dulie" Ernesto's Obituary
Dulinda “Dulie” Gomes Moniz Ernesto, 96, of Haleiwa, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was born on March 20, 1919 in Ka‘eleku, Hana, Maui, Hawaii to August John Gomes and Evangelina Medeiros. She was a retired Waimano Training School and Hospital occupational therapist and a graduate of Maryknoll School, Class of 1937.
She is survived by daughter, Kathleen “Penny” Cagle; son-in-law, Carroll Hendley; sons, Albert G. Moniz and Gary D. (Kathleen L. D.) Moniz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; caregivers, Castora “Casty” Dela Cruz and “Gabby” Dela Cruz of Kahuku.
She is preceded in death by Helen “Maize” Hendley (daughter) of Tampa, Florida, Vance Allen Cagle (grandson) of Hawaii, Susan “Leilani” Cossano of Massachusetts and Kay Dulinda “Dulie” Holland of Georgia (granddaughters) and Charles A. Cagle (son-in-law) of Hawaii.
