Edith Kina'u Robinson Magnani 's Obituary
Edith Kina’u Robinson Magnani took her leave October 19, 2013. Born on October 30, 1928 in Waimea, Kaua’i to David Kaiana Robinson and Rose Rebecca (Cardoza), she was the fifth (and eldest daughter) of eight children. Moving to Kahili as a child, she was an alumnus of St. Andrew’s Priory ’47. Soon after graduating, she enlisted in the Air Force, being stationed in Biloxy, MS and Syracuse, NY as an electronics and radio operator during the Korean War. Upon returning to Hawaii, she married Theodore, her husband of 58 years. After living 18 years in Northern CA where Edie worked at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital, they returned to Hawaii where she was the Department Manager of Transcription at Tripler Army Medical Center. Upon retirement she found her great passion in traveling the world and meeting people, many of whom she kept in touch with for decades.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore, her children, James (Sandy), and Celeste. Pre-deceased daughter Michelle (Mark) von Wronski. Grandchildren, Kathie (Mike) Stephens, Celeste “Noe” (Keith) Reeves and Anuhea Magnani. Great-grandchildren Chasen and Blake Davis, Brynn and Kellen Stephens and Elijah, Selena, and Trent Reeves. Siblings Michael Robinson of Aina Haina and Rachael Brossman of Cleona, PA, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services and military honors will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Kaneohe, with visitation to begin at 10:30 a.m., service at 11:30, and military committal service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Casual attire.
