Edna Akino Morales Liu's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Edna Akino Morales Liu, born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her parents were Kenta and Take Miyamoto. She was the 6th out of 11 children. Edna attended Pohukaina and McKinley High School. After graduation she began working at Hawaiian Printing Company, following the Printing Company she worked at Libby McNeil and Dole Cannery as a forelady. She retired in 1997 after serving 40 years. She had married Alvin Liu. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After retirement she was actively involved in Church activities. Edna passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She enjoyed crafts, reading, and travelling. She travelled to Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Her most important events in life were her Marriage as well as the birth of her children. Edna liked Hymns, Hawaiian Music, and Japanese Music. She is survived by daughters, Sandra (David) Hawkins and Caryn N. Craig; brothers, Noboru (Carol) and George Miyamoto; and sister, Jean Tamiyo (Delbert) Watanabe.
Her services will be on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Visitation will be from 8:30-9:45a.m., service will be at 10:00a.m.
