Dear Mary Ellen, Don and Richard,Your mother, Eileen, was my first cousin and a dear friend of many years. Eileen had a difficult life at times, especially having lost her own mother, Beatrice Ferguson Greiss, at such a young age.Still, I remember my father (Edward Ferguson - Beatrice's younger brother) telling me what a vibrant little girl Eileen was as she grew up. Anyone who knew Eileen remembers her hearty laugh. I certainly do.Eileen was a very caring and loving person. All one need do is recall how much she gave of herself to the personal care of Aunt Agnes Ferguson and Aunt Lillian Ferguson Zolnoski. If it hadn't been for Eileen, these two dear souls would never have lived as long and as well as they did.Eileen, my parents and I often ran into each other visiting Aunt Agnes in the nursing home. These visits were always a lot of fun for everyone with lots of old stories and laughs. Aunt Agnes was always up for a visit from Eileen. They were so very close.Eileen was strong in her Catholic faith and this gave her many blessings with 3 great children, and in particular, a loving daughter - you, Mary Ellen - who kept her near and dear and cared for her in her later years. So I suspect that Eileen is now in Heaven with her husband, mother, and many aunts & uncles who loved her.Eileen's life was, indeed, a life well lived. With much sympathy (and many fond memories),And love to you all,Missy (Maryellen) Ferguson##imported-begin##Missy Ferguson##imported-end##
