Eleanor Wahinenukuohiilawe Puuomoeawa "Nuku" Hanakeawe, 76, of Kapolei, a maintenance foreman with the state Department of Transportation at Honolulu Airport, died in Kapolei. She was born in Puna, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Lawrence K. Jr., Leonard K. and Lyle Kaloi, and Kaipo H. Hanakeawe; daughters Memory Hanakeawe and Bernadette K.M. Kaloi; brothers the Rev. Robert and Henry Leong; sisters Fanny K. Gilman and Cecilia Kuahiwinui; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services at noon. Burial: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
