Elizabeth Violet Akioka's Obituary
Elizabeth Violet Akioka, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at her residence in Clackamas, Oregon. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 22, 1942, by her loving parents Zacarias Rubio and Margaret Rubio. Elizabeth was the youngest of three children. She married Homer A. Akioka on July 15, 1961, and resided in Kaneohe. At first, Elizabeth was a homemaker, then went on to teach kindergarten at St. Ann School for over 10 years, and finally was a manager at Hauoli's in Kaneohe. She was the mother of two children, Homer A. Akioka JR. (predeceased) and Steven Paul Akioka. She loved taking care of her pets and listening to her favorite singer Engelbert Humperdinck. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 57 years: Homer A. Akioka SR., son: Steven P. Akioka, daughter-in-law: Janice Y.P. Akioka, granddaughter: Kamiko S. Akioka and sister: Mary Magdalene (Madeline) Ukida. Services for Elizabeth Violet Akioka will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at St. Ann Church in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Visitation: 10 am, Eulogy: 11:30 am, Mass: 11:45 am, Burial: 1:00 pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Pah Ke Chinese Restaurant.
