Elizabeth "Ebe" Noni Salis' Obituary
Elizabeth “Ebe” Noni Salis, 91, of Kailua, Oahu passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Aloha Nursing and Rehab Centre in Kaneohe. She was the third of nine children born to Chang Soo Kim and Josephine Kane in Lihue, Kauai on November 21, 1924. She was a homemaker.
She was married to Anthony Kaohu Salis on July 20, 1957 at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She was also a parishner of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23:4; I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.
Elizabeth was a quiet women of few words, humble, but we all knew that she was the glue that kept us all together.
She loved her crossword puzzle books, quilting and sewing.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Emanuel “Bully” Duarte; daughters, Leimomi Ho and Theresa “Keli‘i” Costa; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and brother, Hans Goo.
Service for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church (located at, 130 Ohua Street Honolulu, Hawaii 96815); visitation from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.; eulogy at 11:30 a.m.; Mass to begin at 12:00 p.m. burial to follow 1:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
