Elizabeth Etsuko Takahashi's Obituary
Elizabeth Etsuko Takahashi, 85, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Straub Hospital in Honolulu. She was born on June 29, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Shichiro Yamaguchi and Shizuko Nakahara. She was the oldest of three children.
She attended Kuhio Elementary, Stevenson Intermediate, and Roosevelt High School. After graduating from Roosevelt High School she furthered her education with attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she earned a teaching degree. After she graduated from the University she began her career as an elementary school teacher at Maemae Elementary then moved on to teach at Manoa Elementary School where later she retired in 1983 after serving 31 years.
She lived in Honolulu and was married to Ernest Takahashi on August 20, 1954 at Church of the Crossroads.
She enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite places to go was Las Vegas. Elizabeth was a resilient, caring, and determined woman. She will be truly missed.
Elizabeth is survived by son, Mark Takahashi; daughter, JoAnn Alama; brother, Albert Yamaguchi and two grandchildren.
