Elsa Tapaoan Cayetano, born on October 15, 1946, in Tangatan, Gonzaga, Cagayan, Philippines, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Elsa built a life grounded in love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. After moving to Hawaii, she spent many decades creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and the enduring spirit of togetherness, becoming a cherished presence within both her family and her community.
Elsa is survived by her devoted husband, Lorenzo Ramos Cayetano, and their three children and their spouses: Mary Grace Domingo, married to Raymond; Larry Cayetano, married to Helen; and Lance Cayetano, married to Leila. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy: Ryanna Mae Domingo, daughter of Mary Grace; Dylan Michael and Madisyn Skye, children of Larry; and Tyler Josiah and Ella Marie, children of Lance.
She is also survived by her loving siblings: Pedro Garay, Jr., Marina Batara, Arturo Garay, and Virbina Revamonte, who is married to Rudy. Their lifelong bond remained a source of comfort, strength, and shared memories.
Known for her quick wit, open heart, and steadfast compassion, Elsa touched countless lives. Her sense of humor could lift any spirit, and her generosity extended to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
