Elver Shigeo Higashi's Obituary
Elver Shigeo Higashi, a resident of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away at Castle Medical Center on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born to Shigeru Higashi and Yoshiko Osakoda in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii on May 16, 1930. He was an administrator with the State of Hawaii, Department of Education and a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Higashi is survived by his sons, Guy (Lori) Higashi and Stacey (Debbie) Higashi; daughters, Vicky (Daryl) Quenga, Fay Shimizu and Teressa Shimizu; brothers, Harold (Joan) Higashi and Richard Higashi; sister, Eunice Higashi; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Higashi, Shayna Higashi, Kevin Shimizu, Jr., Sherri Higashi-Patacsil, Alexander Shimizu, Chelsea Shimizu, Madison Shimizu, Matthew Quenga, Joshua Higashi, Daniel Quenga, Stephen Higashi, Kylie Higashi and Jayson Higashi; nine great-grandchildren, Maicah Cabral, Jylian Cabral, Oriel Morimoto-Perkins, Landon Wilhelm, Jayde Medeiros, Titus Higashi-Patacsil, Lennox Wilhelm, Skailynn Morimoto-Shimizu and Tirzah Higashi-Patacsil
