Enriqueta "Kathy" Rasay Tuvera's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Enriqueta "Kathy" Arellano Rasay Tuvera, who passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 18, 2014. She was born on May 17, 1928 in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Monico Rasay and Isabel Arellano. Enriqueta was the oldest of three children. She attended Holy Ghost Academy and Northwestern College. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Home Economics. Upon graduation she began her career as a Home Economics Teacher in the Philippines. She was married to Juan Mina Tuvera on June 23, 1963 at Park Memorial Chapel.
She was a strong-willing, loving, and caring Mom and Grandma who enjoyed watching Korean drama0s, cooking and cleaning house. She enjoyed listening to Christian, Gospel and sometimes Filipino music. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, New Hope Christian and Sarrateneos of Hawaii. Among her most important events in her life were purchasing their own home and becoming a Grandma to her seven grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Albert R. (Rowena) Tuvera; daughters, Marcia T. (George) Dumlao and Mary Jane D.R. Tuvera-Takemoto (Derek); brother, Alejandro (Charito) Rasay and Julio (Flo) Rasay; seven grandchildren.
Visitation to her wake service will be held 5:30-9:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at Diamond Head Mortuary; with services to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation to her funeral service will be held 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 also to be held at Diamond Head Mortuary; with services to begin at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow 12:00 noon at Valley of The Temples Memorial Park.
