Eppie Santos Munalem's Obituary
Eppie Santos Munalem of Aiea, Hawaii, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away July 26, 2017 in Honolulu at the age of 76. Born in Bertese, Quezon Nueva Ecija, Philippines to parents Eusebio D. Santos and Antonina D. Santos, Eppie was the fifth of twelve children. She was a retired building custodian for the City and County of Honolulu, and a gifted seamstress, who specialized in the design and creation of wedding and prom dresses, including fine beading and embroidery. She also was employed as a seamstress at the Tori Richard Factory and Liberty House. Eppie was predeceased by her husband, Ricardo Cordova Munalem.
She is survived by children, Angie (Sonny) Roque, Jeannie S. Munalem and Adrian (Irene) Munalem; grandchildren, Shinenah Roque, Shane Roque, AJ Munalem and Zander Munalem; great-grandchildren, Eian Albano, Evan Albano and Eyzen Albano; siblings, Gertie Bogayong, Fe (George) Basa, Eusebio (Rosita) Santos, Jr. and Luz (Angel) Paredes.
Funeral services for Eppie will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel, 47-200 Kahekili Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. with service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples with a reception to follow at the Valley of the Temples Chapel Lanai.
