Eric Kumio Gokan's Obituary
Eric Kumio Gokan born on December 12, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is survived by parents, Noel Y. and Arline H. Gokan; sister, Nicolette G. Leatherman and nephew Rory T. N. Gokan.
He was a graduate of Kaiser High School class of 1979 and served in the Army from 1980 – 1983 and with the Air National Guard from 1985 – 1987.
Employed as a painter with various companies, but moved to Oregon in 2001, where he learned new skills in computer parts, repair and programs. When in Oregon, he enjoyed being with his Auntie Bea and his precious nephew, Rory. After 10 years there, he returned home to the islands, where he worked as a driver for companies that transported people to and from the hotels and the airport.
He enjoyed fishing and the beach. Also, felt most accomplished when refinishing furniture and painting the house in and out. He had a very generous and kind heart.
