Esmeraldo Quitoras Gallegos' Obituary
Esmeraldo Quitoras Gallegos, 62, of Honolulu,
Hawaii, passed away peacefully on September 11,
2022, surrounded by his wife, family, and loved
ones. Aldo, as he was fondly called, grew up in
Barangay Capurictan, Solsona, Ilocos Norte,
Philippines and moved to Hawaii in 1993.
Aldo graduated from Gregorio Araneta
University Foundation and later obtained his
license as a veterinarian. In the Philippines, he
worked at St. Angelica Veterinary Clinic in Quezon
City and CF General Merchandise in Laoag City.
In the USA, he worked as a Vector Inspector
Control V at the Department of Health State of
Hawaii for 16 years, and a phlebotomist at The
Queen’s Medical Center for 5 years.
Aldo enjoyed gardening and handcrafting
miniature houses out of bamboo and recycled
woods. He was a veterinarian in profession. His
love of animals motivated him to build his farm in
the Philippines. Besides poultry, piggery, and a
herd of goats, he left a pack of pet dogs.
Aldo is survived by his wife Catalina, and his
siblings Carmen, Minang, Paul, Tony, and Cely.
Family, friends, and those whose lives Aldo
touched are invited to a wake to be held at Valley
of the Temples Mortuary on October 24th from 6
PM to 9 PM. Burial will be in Brgy. Capurictan,
Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines
