Estelle Drew
A Matriarch of Kaneohe Estelle Kahawaiolaa Halualani Drew, 91, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2013. A 1940 proud graduate of St. Andrew's Priory and an original member of the Koolaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club. She was a kind, wonderful and gracious woman with a heart of gold that loved unconditionally. She loved being surrounded by her ohana and friends, enjoyed attending luau's and paina's, and was often the life of the party. Her knowledge of Kaneohe and her family history was unsurpassable. Whenever you spoke with her and told her who your family was, she somehow knew of your family and would make a connection between you, your family and her. Survived by daughter, Marlene; sons, Elmer Jr. (Stephanie), Randy (Melissa); grandchildren, Lauren Mapu Taito, Kristie, Jennifer (Milton Allen), Kuhio, Larsen, William, Chyenn, Carrigan, Pana; great grandchildren, Ransen and Ariana Taito, Kaimana and Phoenix Allen, Kyrsten, Napoe Maemae and Kaiu; life companion William Sonny Naki; brother, Marcus Halualani; sisters, Leialoha Kaluhiwa and Ula Halualani-Hee; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Services: Hawaiian Memorial Park, July 25, 2013, 5:30 pm- 9:00 pm and July 26, 2013, 9:00 am- 12:30 pm with burial at Valley of the Temples at 1:00 pm.
