Mom & Lei. Although I'm far away, my heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you both. Gene will be truly missed. I am so blessed to have known him. His memory will live on for the rest of my life. I'll never forget all the times he drove us around in high school and to all those UH Men's volleyball games...waiting until 1am and then taking us to Zippy's. lol His love for music will never be forgotten. We always cruised around with sounds blaring out the Explorer windows. haha Good times! I can just imagine, Gene is blaring that awesome music up in Heaven watching over the both of you and the rest of us! I LOVE YOU BOTH, Mom & Lei, TO THE ENDS OF THE UNIVERSE!

Rose Beyond the Wall

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side
