Eugenia Gumayagay Ibana's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Eugenia Gumayagay Ibana, who passed away in Waipahu on May 20, 2014. She was born on August 10, 1916 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Anacleto Baltazar and Ambrosia Gumayagay. She married Alfredo Ibana and after retirement, they were involved in adopting and raising their only daughter at 1 ½ years old. She resided in Ewa Beach with her daughter and family.
She was a hard worker, very determined, helpful and a kind person who loved her grandkids. She enjoyed planting, selling vegetables and gardening. Eugenia's most important events in her life were the birth of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Jovy (Ariel) Basco; grandson, Ariel Jay Basco; granddaughter, Sophia Isabelle Basco; and brother, Pedro Gumayagay.
Visitation to her funeral service will be held 9:30-10:15 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 10:15 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:45 a.m. Burial service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of The Temples Memorial Park.
