Evelyn Sui Sin Akana Schmidtke, 81, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019. She was born on May 9, 1938. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Schmidtke, Daughter, Valerie Moriwaki, Granddaughter's, Sydney Kashiwagi, Zoe, and Camren Moriwaki, and her siblings: Albert Akana (Evelyn), Mildred Kalani Meyer (Donald), James Akana, Brenda Kealoha, and David Akana (Hilda). Services will be held on August 24, 2019 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation: 11 a.m. Service: 12 p.m. Reception to follow.
