Felipe Batara Salviejo's Obituary
Felipe Batara "Ipe" Salviejo was born in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 24, 1925 to parents Fulgencio Salviejo and Toribia Batara Salviejo. Before emigrating to Hawaii, Felipe served as a Municipal Councilman and Policeman in Badoc. In Hawaii, he was employed by Hilo Lagoon Hotel, Arcadia Retirement Residence and the Spencecliff Waikiki Restaurant before retiring. "Ipe" passed away on July 10, 2016 at Queen's Medical Center-West at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fulgencio and Toribia; brothers and sisters, Eleuterio, Maximino, Romulo, Candida, Cipriano and Felisicimo.
He is survived by beloved wife, Susana "Saning" Salviejo; sons, Quirino "Query" (Erlinda) Salviejo and Armando "Larry" (Indalescia) Salviejo; daughters Emelita "Eme" (Dennis) Faeldonea and Arleen (Paul) Ramos; sister, Ludivina (Oscar) Bermudez of the Philippines; grandchildren, Kevin Lee Salviejo, Kenneth and Kate Salviejo; Angeline Ivy Salviejo; Dale and Dennis "DJ", Jr. Faeldonea; Aaron Phillip Ramos, Aston Benjamin Ramos and AysiaLi`i Ramos.
Visitation will be from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; wake service will begin at 6:30 p.m. A second visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Church Waipahu; Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow 12:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome.
