Filemon "Fil" Bareng Daquioag's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Filemon B. Daquioag who was born on February 18, 1926 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired as a bartender and a store display maintenance after 55+ years. After retirement, he started a successful career as a Banana Bark Artist.
Filemon lived in various places such as Laoag City, Philippines,; Honolulu, Hawaii; San Francisco, California; and Kaneohe, Hawaii.
The important events that happened in Filemon's life was the marriage to his wife Loretta of 58 years, spending time with his family/children, being recognized as a local artist with artwork displayed at Iolani Palace and other local Hawaiian businesses. He was also a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
His favorite hobbies and past times were; singing, playing the violin and ukulele, painting and creating banana bark art. He loved traveling, dancing, telling jokes and was a "Jack of all trades" in home repairs and remodeling.
He is survived by wife, Loretta Daquioag; sons, William (Tami) and Leo (Ermelinda) Daquioag; daughters, Lory Daquioag Wilson, Lily Daquioag Steele; sisters, Filemena Ligot, Magdalina Tamayo and Carol Salvador; grandchildren, Keane Daquioag, Ryan Sullivan, Tara Donley and Caitlin Sullivan, Yzl Daquioag Cruz and great grandchildren, Patrick, Liam and Nolan Donley, Daim Raulf Cruz, Enzo Cruz and Gabe Cruz.
Visitation: 5:30-6:30p.m., Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service: 6:30p.m.; additional visitation will be held 10:30a.m.-12:45p.m., Wednesday May 27, 2015 at St Ann’s Catholic Church; Mass: 12:45p.m.; with burial to follow 2:00p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
