With deep love and gratitude for a remarkable life, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Filipinas Malapit Calivoso Calapini Basug who was born on April 21, 1927, in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte and peacefully departed on March 9, 2026. She was raised by family tradition and the values of perseverance faith and hard work. She migrated to the United States at the age of 55. Through patience and sacrifices she built a better life for her and her children in the USA. Filipinas is survived by her daughters: Lita Lee (Randy), and Orefil Lagundino. Sons: Emmanuel Calapini (Marites), Florante Calapini (Judith). Grandchildren: Michael Agamanos, Dovie Agamanos, Faith Terzic, Horenes Lagundino, Primo Lagundino, Hazel Ruiz, and Marvin Calapiini. Great grandchildren: Kaili, Daniel, Kay, Renz, Xanica, Ava, Pipper, Mehmed John, Ethan, Kaela, Hope, Jax, and Tessa. Her legacy lives on through the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, she will be deeply missed.
