Flora Kiyomi Arasato's Obituary
Flora Kiyomi Arasato, born on September 19, 1937 to Chieko (Sunada) and Ernest Okado in Honolulu, Hawaii. Flora passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 she was 79 years old.
Flora graduated from McKinley High School
Flora was an administrative assistant for the Office of Veterans Affairs for many years and in 2002 she retired.
She lived in Kailua and in Honolulu.
She was married to Walter Arasato in 1959.
Her biggest joy in her life were her two grandsons, Mason and Alexander. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses. One of her favorite music artists was a local musician, Melveen Leed.
Flora was always taking care of the people she loved. She was a giving person who thought of everyone before herself. A wonderful beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend who will be missed but never forgotten.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Yoshio Arasato; son, Eric Arasato; brother, Ernest N. Okado and two grandchildren.
Celebration of life service for Flora will be held on Wednesday, Sept 28, 2016 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (located at 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation: 10:30 – 11:30; service to begin at 11:30 a.m. burial to follow 2:00 p.m. on the grounds of Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
