Florence Lorretta Kakaio's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Our Beloved Florence Lorretta Kakaio
September 23rd, 1944 - January 20th, 2025
Our hearts are heavy as we say goodbye to our beloved Florence, who passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2025, in Kailua, HI. Born on September 23rd, 1944, in Honolulu, HI, she filled our lives with love, warmth, and countless cherished memories.
Mom was the loving wife of Milton, and devoted mother to us—Kanoe, Derick, and Lynelle. Family was everything to her, and she embraced every moment we shared, from our exciting trips to Vegas to laughter-filled days tricycling around Kailua.
Her hands were always busy creating; knitting and crocheting were her passions. She crafted beautiful pieces that warmed our bodies and hearts. Mom's zest for life was evident in her love for 🎨 Arts & Crafts, ⚽️ Sports, 🏕️ Outdoor Activities, 🌍 Travel, and 🎲 Games.
Her kindness, empathy, determination, compassion, and generosity touched everyone she met. She taught us to be loving, kind, creative, active, caring, smart, and forgiving.
We'll forever cherish the memories we've made with her—the wine tastings, volunteering together, golf outings, and her joy in jewelry collecting. Her spirit lives on in the stories we share and the love she instilled in us.
Rest peacefully, Mom. You'll always be in our hearts.
