Fortunato Labenia Jr., 68, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away on June 20, 2015. He was born on October 17, 1946 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii to Fortunato Labenia and Basilia Cortilar. He was a retired refuse worker “Opala Man” for the City and County of Honolulu.
He is survived by wife, Margaret Labenia; sons, George Hanawahine, James AhQuin III, Ratchet Crawford Jr., Jacob and Crawford; daughter, Dorlene Rivera; hanai sons, Herman “Ole” Kanoa, Kekai Kanoa; hanai daughters, Jola Lunsford, Sonia Domingues, and Renee Takemoto; brothers, Benjamin Lucrisia, Rudy Labenia, and Edward Labenia; sister, Asuncion “Connie” Labenia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; Service to begin at 11:00 a.m., burial to follow, 2:00 p.m., at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
