Celebrating the Life of Francilyn “Franny” Uilani Arrambide
February 24th, 1960 – July 24th, 2025
We celebrate the beautiful life of Francilyn “Franny” Uilani Arrambide, whose kindness and bright spirit touched everyone she met.
Born on February 24th, 1960, in Honolulu, HI, Franny carried the warmth of the islands wherever she went. Friends and family remember her for five simple yet powerful qualities: kind, supportive, generous, compassionate, and honest. These traits guided her every day and shaped the loving home she built.
A favorite memory shared by many is Franny’s love for foreign TV shows. Visitors often found her enjoying a new series, happily inviting them to join in. Those shared episodes became quick lessons in curiosity, fun, and togetherness—hallmarks of her daily life.
Franny’s greatest joy was her family. She and her husband, Mark Arrambide, raised a lively, close-knit household that continues to grow. Their children—Kalika Kiaaina, Lehua Cruz, Benjamin Kiaaina, Tino Arrambide, Josephine Lauaki-Arrambide, Alyssa Arrambide, Sione Lauaki-Arrambide, Israel Arrambide, Kaati Lauaki-Arrambide, Mele Lauaki-Arrambide, and Mana Hart—carry forward her caring nature. She was also the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren, each one a fresh reason for her wide smile.
Franny passed away on July 24th, 2025, in Aiea, HI, leaving a legacy rooted in simple acts of generosity and unwavering support. Every kindness she extended lives on through the family and friends who learned from her example.
Today, we choose celebration over sorrow. We will keep watching new shows, sharing laughter, and helping one another—just as Franny always did.
