Francis Kunio Kato's Obituary
Francis Kunio Kato, 81, of Waipahu, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired manager of McDonald’s Restaurant. He is survived by his wife, Ofelia; sister Nancy Nishimura; sons, Alan (Laurie), and Lance (Jennifer); daughter, Krichelle (Taylor) Sakamoto; and seven grandchildren. He is predeceased by brothers Albert Kato, Justin Kato, Andrew Kato, Richard Kato, Samson Kato, and Carl Kameoka; and sister, Irene Shinotsuka.
Visitation at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at Valley of the Temples, Main Chapel. Service begins at 6:00 p.m.
Inurnment at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2025 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
