Frank Min's Obituary
Frank “Byung-Suk” Min, age 84, passed away on Sept 3, 2022 at his home, in Honolulu, HI. He was born in Daejeon, South Korea, eldest of 4 children. Frank had deep faith and love for Jesus, inspired by his mother, 송진수, who was one of the founding members of 산성쿄회 (est. 1956). After his military service in the Korean Army, he lived in Hamburg, Germany from 1964-1975, working in the coal mines and the food service industry, where he would send money back home to his family. He moved to Hawaii and worked as a line cook at the Hyatt Hotel before opening his own fast food restaurant in downtown Honolulu, Min’s Fast Food, serving plate lunches with a smile for 28 years. Frank was known for his hard work and discipline, exercising daily: black belt in judo, enjoyed tennis, singing, and running. He started his first of 8 marathons at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 45 years and 2 children.
Arrangements made by Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary at Valley of the Temples, and will be held privately.
