Frank Riviera Jr.'s Obituary
Frank Riviera Jr., 81 of Waipahu passed away on June 28, 2024, in Waipahu surrounded by his 'Ohana. He was born in Hakalau, Hawaii on May 28, 1943, to the late Frank and Julia Riveira Sr. Frank moved to Honolulu at the age of 5 and attended Aiea Elementary School and then went onto graduate from Radford High School.
In the early 60's he worked for Liberty House, then JC Penney and then he worked as a civilian for the Air Force. He started as a bus driver, then became an aircraft loader and then a groundskeeper, until he retired in 2003.
Frank was a classic car enthusiast. He owned and rebuilt many old cars. His pride and joy was his 1932 3 window Ford. He was a member of the Wanderer's Car Club. He loved meeting up with his friends every week.
Frank married his wife of 59 years, Etta. They had 5 children, Frank (Kimberly) Riviera III, David (Shelsea) Riviera, Kim Riviera, Tanya (Jay R.) Taboada, and Tiffany Riviera. They have 10 grandchildren, Tyson, Nicole, Janelle, Jerrick, Sheyenne, Timmy, Jonathan, Tyona, Taja, Taysia and a great grandson, Zavier.
Besides his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by his Aunty Betty and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
